Kansas City based Hazing has signed to InVogue Records. Their debut album “Disconsolate” will hit stores early 2016. You can hear their new single & music video for “Ghost Runner At Home” at the InVogue Records YouTube channel or below!.
The single is also now available on iTunes.
Vocalist Ed Spauvnhorst says, “Ghost Runner At Home is actually the first song we wrote as a band. Lyrically, it’s about being a kid growing up in a house that doesn’t feel like a home, feeling trapped in a constantly negative environment, and having to watch love fail time and time again. The album overall is pretty dark, and much of it is a reflection of a dear friend of ours who passed away a few years back.”
The band will be touring shortly after the new year in support of the new album.

About Hazing
Hazing, the “saddest boys in Kansas City”, is a fervidly charged Emo/Punk that has established itself as a driving force in just a few short months.
They self-released their high-energy debut EP, Perfect Timing If We Run, in the fall of 2014. The release is a roller coaster of emotion, heavily influenced by the loss of a dear friend. Connor Matthews was a founding member of the pop-punk outfit Mason City. Following his tragic death in 2012, the members of Mason City disbanded with broken hearts and uncertain futures.
A couple of years later, however, Ed Spaunhorst, Josh King, and Brennan Pittman decided to begin writing music again, this time with more purpose than ever. The addition of drummer Vivid JoJo completed the four-piece, who began to release music as Hazing in July of 2014.
Citing influences like Brand New, Balance and Composure, and Citizen, Hazing’s sound reflects a much darker side of the pop-punk spectrum, but without sacrificing any listenability.
Already booking shows with high-caliber bands like Citizen, Dance Gavin Dance, Hostage Calm, SLAVES, and You Blew It! has helped Hazing gain exposure in the Midwest.
