(January 31st, 2017) – Victoria, BC’s futurepop mastermind Germany Germany (the moniker of electronic engineer Drew Harris) formally announced via their official Facebook Page that all profits from Bandcamp sales within the next 7 days will be donated directly to the ACLU. The week-long donation period is part of a larger fudraising initiative by Bandcamp in an effort to aide in relief efforts during this week’s humanitarian crises.

Aside from being a true world-steward in their many fundraising endeavours (includeed, but not limited to the release of their Summer Mixtape, which all proceeds went to helping bring clean drinking water to rural communities in Uganda), Canadian electro-pop // self-described ‘futurepop’ artist Germany Germany has been tantalizing our eardrums for quite some time. Their insatiable appetite to continue to develop and expound upon a variety of thematics and puncture through any singular notions of electronic music is merely a smaller facet in a much larger, colorful mosaic of musicality. Part EDM, part funk, part drum n’ bass, and just a twist of pop flair and flamboyance, Germany Germany paints a grandeur aural canvass as a tiled set of infinite cosmic industry with a singular keystroke.  Their command in beatmaking and masterful wielding of experimentalist mentality lends itself to a ear-gasmic display of nothing short of sheer brilliance, all of which, in turn, lends itself with ease to each and every listener. Part of Germany Germany’s furtherment in their artistry is that nothing is ever too cloy or inaccessible, as every highly-tweaked facet still generously lends itself easily to the listener’s ear: never unapproachable, but never not daring. Just pure, imaginitive bliss that’s rife with substance.
