(February 17th, 2018) – Augusta, GA’s freshly-founded, up-and-coming metalcore act Lumen have recently announced their formal signing to Imminence Records. In conjunction with the announcement, the band also unleashed their brand new spit-fire single “Moon Reader” with an accompanying music video, which you can view below.
“With this record, we tried not to limit ourselves to one sound. You can hear the diversity between all of us as individual musicians throughout the record, and often within the songs themselves. Our aim has been to maintain energy all while staying true to our musicianship. Most importantly, we’ve written a record that we all enjoy, and that’s what truly matters to us.” – Marc Kniphfer (Vocalist)
“Moon Reader,” which originally premiered via Reddit’s /r/metalcore, is taken from the band’s upcoming debut album Sharing An Eye, which is set to be released via Imminence Records in March of 2018. Blistering, biting, and unabatingly brutalizing, “Moon Reader” offers an enticing amount of fiery ferocity to contemporary metalcore listeners.
Our aim has been to maintain energy all while staying true to our musicianship.”
Pre-orders and merch bundle packs for Sharing An Eye are now live via the band’s and Imminence Records’ merch store.

About Lumen
In a scene where local bands come and go in the blink of an eye, it’s hard to find a band that sticks out. One band that is up to that task is Lumen, a metalcore outfit hailing from the back alleys of Augusta GA. Comprised of members of previous local bands, Lumen hopes to blend the sounds of its varying members into a unique sound that all genre elitists can enjoy, and to persevere past the local stage to achieve something greater. In January of 2018, the band announced their signing with Imminence Records.
