Working That Rock’n’Roll Magic: Blacktop Mojo to Tour With Joyous Wolf & Of Limbo

(March 22nd, 2018) – With the weather just barely beginning to warm, Spring feels like it’s just around the corner, but we have other details that will warm your ears- Blacktop Mojo has announced a new tour! Set to launch this Spring, Blacktop Mojo will spread their glorious rocker wings on a tour around North America with Joyous Wolf and Of Limbo, with select dates featuring Black Stone Cherry. A complete list of dates can be found on the tour flyer below.

The band is undoubtedly excited for the near-month-long trek across the United States, as told by their recent statement in regards to the tour:

We’re thrilled to be heading back out to see all the extended family and friends we’ve made over the last few years!” – Blacktop Mojo

This tour is part of the band’s extensive support for the second radio single off of their masterful 2017 album Burn The Ships and potentially serves as a precursor to their third studio album that is currently in the works. If Burn The Ships was any indication, then we can happily anticipate a third full-length featuring Blacktop Mojo at their most dynamic height of musicality yet!

Burn The Ships is the band’s sophomore endeavour and their most marked one to date. Produced by Jimmy Johnson (Muscle Shoals), the album was released via Cuhmon Records in March of that year to almost instantaneous critical acclaim. Dynamic and decadent, Blacktop Mojo’s Burn The Ships served a hot dish of palatable musicality that proved itself beyond deserving of the accolades it acquired. Its first single, “Where the Wind Blows,” reached #27 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock chart while the band was on its first full U.S. tour that fall. Through that tour and navigating a climbing Billboard stature, Blacktop Mojo found themselves on a slot of 2018’s Rock Fest alongside headliners DisturbedIncubus, and Godsmack, as well as an innumerable amount of industry-leading hard rock acts.

At full-steam ahead on a third release as well as this upcoming tour- and with no signs of stopping- Blacktop Mojo is set to make their surefooted mark in a world of uncertainty.

About Blacktop Mojo

A hard-driving Southern rock unit based out of Palestine, Texas, Blacktop Mojo’s fiery blend of post-grunge, classic rock, and metal falls somewhere between SoundgardenBlack Stone Cherry, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Founded in 2012 by front-man Matt James and drummer Nathan Gillis, the band eventually morphed into a five-piece with the additions of bass player Matt Curtis and guitarists Ryan Kiefer and Kenneth Irwin.
