(May 29th, 2018) – While Bethesda has been trolling us all day with a Pipboy bobblehead in front of a TV, he’s currently sleeping and the current theory is the announcement will be done at 9:47 AM ET when the bombs dropped in the game’s story, Pokémon Company International has announced not one, not two, but THREE games to be released this year!
The biggest draw is the combo Let’s Go Pikachu/Let’s Go Eevee that looks to be a hybrid between Pokémon Go and the core RPGs that will be based off of Pokémon Yellow and will be connected with a super cool Pokeball Plus peripheral and Pokémon Go. It also hinted at a special gift pokémon, maybe Zeraora, and couch co-op play. They will be released on the Nintendo Switch on November 16th!
But they also announced a mobile and Nintendo Switch “free-to-start” Minecraft looking Pokémon Quest that will likely rely on microtransactions. The core RPG that was talked about during E3 last year, and is presumably Gen 8, is slated for next year. There is also a brand new Pokemon movie with Ryan Reynolds being released next year.
With #PokemonQuest and #PokemonLetsGo, there are so many new ways to explore the world of Pokémon! Trainers can look forward to even more with an all-new core series Pokémon RPG title in development for the second half of 2019! pic.twitter.com/d5uiIpenMI
