This Will Destroy You Present A Double-Whammy Return with A Headlining Tour & 5th Studio LP

(August 9th, 2018) – Post-Rock/Ambient experimental experts This Will Destroy You are making a triumphant return with a double whammy announcement of a North American headlining tour AND a 5th Studio LP. The tour will follow the release of the band’s fifth studio full-length, set to drop September 28th, via Dark Operative. Stay tuned, as there are more details to follow in the coming weeks!

This is far from the end of the deafening cycle of announcements from This Will Destroy You, as both announcements follow on the heels of the exclusive premiere of the band’s new and utterly majestic “Escape Angle,” off of Dark Operative’s It Came From The Abyss (Volume 1) compilation album, out worldwide as of tomorrow, August 10th.

Formed in the early 2000s, This Will Destroy You has spent the last decade and a half touring the planet relentlessly between recording studio albums and core members Jeremy Galindo and Chris King scoring various films, television, culinary, and other creative entertainment projects in their relative downtime. Their efforts most notably culminated in the 2006 debut Young Mountain and span through the ambitious scoring of Los Angeles, California’s famous Vespertine.

In the midst of such formidable projects, This Will Destroy You’s touring record is far from a flub, From 2016-2018, the band was able to successfully stage special tenth anniversary shows and tours celebrating Young Mountain and self-titled at high-capacity, sold out gigs around the globe, punctuated by being hand-picked by The Cure to perform in front of tens of thousands at the band’s fortieth anniversary concert in London’s historic Hyde Park.

The band’s freshly-announced 2018 headlining tour is slated to commence on October 16th in Phoenix, Arizona, the trek will wind its way through over two dozen cities, coming to a close November 17th in San Diego, California.
